Mai Aaftab-e-yaar hun,
Mai Aasmaan sitaar hun,
Mai Nadhi be-kinaar hun,
Mai khud ik sansaar hun.

Mai ek tezz dhaar hun,
Tu haan keh mai bekar hun,
Tu naah keh mai tayyar hun,
Mai Aag ka fuwaar hun.

Mai Tandrust bimaar hun,
Mai Bhuki dhakaar hun,
Mai Masjid-e-minaar hun,
Mai do kaudi dinaar hun.

Mai Malang hoshiyaar hun,
Mai Pyaaro ka pyaar hun,
Mai Dushmani talwaar hun,
Mai Jeet aur Haar hun.

Mai Kaaton ka taar hun,
Mai khatm nahi baar baar hun,
Mai ek nahi Hazaar hun,
Mai Saadgi bhrammaar hun.

Mai Laalchi Dildaar hun,
Mai Khaali Darbaar hun,
Mai Anjaan Jaankaar hun,
Mai Aazad Shikaar hun.

Mai khudka Dulaar hun,
Mai Soona Bazaar hun,
Mai Raees Lachaar hun,
Mai Beizzat waqqar hun.

Mai Yuva Lalkaar hun,
Mai Budhi khakhaar hun,
Mai kuch Beshumaar hun,
Mai kami Shaandaar hun.

Mai Waqt ki Puqaar hun,
Mai Waqt ki Puqaar hun.

About the Poet

In the bustling corridors of my school, amid the fervour of academic pursuits, there resided a muse – an ethereal presence that whispered the profound beauty of nature, the elusive quest for life’s true meaning, and the art of finding happiness in the simplest moments. This muse, though intangible, remained a steadfast companion, guiding both my thoughts and pen as I embarked on my journey as a writer. The poetic verses I’ve shared encapsulate the essence of life’s voyage. They celebrate the diverse facets of existence, from moments of radiance to periods of uncertainty, illustrating that every experience contributes to the tapestry of our unique identity. These verses emphasize the notion that life’s highs and lows, its challenges and victories, all play a pivotal role in shaping who we become. Ultimately, these verses inspire us to embrace each stage of life and discover meaning in every moment.
