The Dairy Development Story

The Dairy Development and Animal Husbandry project conducted a practical training program for a group of over 40 women, offering them an opportunity for positive change.

Under the guidance of experienced trainers, these women learned to make millet biscuits, pickles, and homemade detergent from the resources available to them. These simple products not only offered income potential but also boosted their self-esteem.

The Dairy Development Story

Santosh Devi Purohit, the leader of the Self-Help Group in Devda, shared her story as a shining example of what’s possible. After attending the training on millet products and pickle making, she began selling millet biscuits and lemon pickles in her village and nearby areas, becoming an entrepreneur. In just one month, she earned INR 3,500, showing the value of skill and determination.

Purohit expressed her gratitude to our trainers and organisers for giving her the opportunity to enhance her skills and income. Her journey was one of empowerment, and her success paved the way for others to follow.
