Measure time in smiles,
In tears, fears, amusement and excite.
In sunsets, salads and glasses of wine,
With friends that stayed and those left behind.

In dinner dates and drunk charades,
And not the recurring calendar parades.

Measure time,
Through cricket matches and morning walks,
In starry nights and endless talks.
With spotify wrapped and ugly snaps,
In youtube rewind and ig recaps.

Measure time,
In pokemon cards that were lost traded,
Through the scenery sketches, with colors, faded.
And not with meetings that stay unattended,
As the illusion of time can seldom be avoided.

Measure time,
With songs of past and karaoke sessions,
And the tales of partition that your granny mentions.
In roses collected and feathers preserved,
And also the books that are previously loved.

For the numbers that repeat, re-write their story,
But it’s the man that ends up losing his glory.
