This year’s International Women’s Day celebrations at Cairn went beyond a single-day event, evolving into a week-long journey of empowerment, leadership, and recognition. Under the theme #ShaktiSePragati – From Strength to Progress, the initiative highlighted our unwavering commitment to fostering an inclusive and thriving workplace.
From March 1 – 8, we came together for a week-long celebration of resilience, leadership, and achievements through a series of initiatives focused on learning, well-being, and personal growth.
The week began with inspiring messages from leadership, expressing deep appreciation for the dedication and contributions of employees across our company. These messages set the tone for a series of engaging and meaningful activities. On March 3, the Orchid Welcome Ceremony at the Gurgaon office offered a warm and symbolic gesture of recognition, as we extended a heartfelt welcome to our female colleagues, acknowledging their strength and dedication. The same day marked the launch of the Empower 30 Initiative, where 30 team members stepped into senior roles for a week. This initiative provided an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in leadership, decision-making, and strategy, while engaging in mentoring and strategic discussions with the current leadership team.
Focusing on health and wellness, a session on Healthy Habits and Diet Management was conducted by Dr. Jayaprakash Jayavelu, Chief of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. Participants also benefited from one-on-one consultations, fostering a deeper understanding of personal well-being. On March 4, an empowering self-defense workshop provided practical training on personal safety, situational awareness, and confidence-building techniques.
March 5 brought colleagues together for a high tea event that encouraged conversations, camaraderie, and collaboration. The gathering served as a platform for sharing experiences and ideas, strengthening bonds within our Cairn community. On March 6, a Networking Masterclass led by Reena Sarin from Training Sideways offered insights on building strong professional connections, breaking common myths, and fostering confidence. During the week, celebrations continued with an entertaining session featuring Tarot Card Readings and a round of Bollywood and Famous Women Trivia, bringing moments of fun, laughter, and reflection.
On March 7, the focus shifted to indulgence and relaxation. In Gurgaon, employees participated in an exclusive chocolate tasting session, offering a sweet experience of appreciation. The Suvali celebrations added to the day’s excitement, featuring grooming sessions, tote bag painting, sports and gaming activities, and pampering experiences at a premium salon, followed by a delightful lunch. At Ravva, a full day of engagements included motivational speaking sessions, self-growth and team-building games, talent showcases, and an engaging debate, concluding with lunch and high tea.
The celebrations continued on March 8 and 9, as teams from RJ North and South took a trip to Ranakpur. This offsite experience combined creativity, collaboration, and relaxation through an art contest, vision board workshop, and collaborative mural painting. A special cake-cutting ceremony, led by leadership, recognised and celebrated the invaluable contributions of employees across Cairn. Personalised hampers and cards were distributed, along with special gifts sent to families in Barmer, ensuring the celebrations extended beyond the workplace and into the wider community.
Throughout the week, employees engaged in curated e-learning modules and TED Talks covering topics such as leadership insights, breaking barriers, embracing inclusivity, and personal growth. These resources offered valuable knowledge and strategies to support both professional development and personal empowerment.
As we concluded this inspiring week, we reaffirmed our commitment to championing equality, enabling growth, and fostering a thriving, inclusive environment.
