Safety is more than a priority, it’s a way of life. On March 4, 2025, National Safety Day reinforced this commitment, inspiring individuals and organisations to adopt best practices, mitigate risks, and cultivate a zero-harm workplace. This year, the 54th National Safety Day carried the theme “Safety and Well-being, Crucial for Viksit Bharat,” emphasising not just physical safety but also mental, emotional, and psychological well-being as essential drivers of progress.

The observance began with flag hoisting ceremonies across Cairn sites, accompanied by safety leadership messages that set the tone for a week of engagement. A series of competitions and interactive events, including Hazard Hunts, Safety Rapid Fire Rounds, and creative challenges like poster and slogan contests, encouraged participation across teams. Themed quizzes tested awareness on key topics such as workplace well-being, mental health, work at height, and vehicle-pedestrian interaction, ensuring a comprehensive approach to safety education.

Awareness sessions played a vital role, with specialised workshops on workplace ergonomics at Suvali and a pan Cairn webinar focused on mental health. Reinforcing safety lessons through storytelling, employees across locations joined a special screening of Deepwater Horizon on March 8, 2025. Business partners actively engaged in daily field campaigns, amplifying the message of workplace safety. Extending beyond the organisation, the initiative also reached the broader community, with awareness sessions conducted for senior secondary school students and Cairn Enterprise Centre trainees, engaging over 120 young minds in essential safety conversations.

National Safety Day 2025 went beyond a mere campaign, it stood as a profound reminder that fostering a culture of safety and well-being is the cornerstone of creating a stronger, healthier, and more resilient workforce.
