Vehicle Pedestrian Interaction, January 2024:
In observance of the Road Safety Week from January 15th to February 14th, 2024, initiated by the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India, our Monthly HSE Campaign focused on Vehicle Pedestrian Interaction. The campaign aimed to educate and train our workforce on road safety to prevent accidents and minimise risks.
Starting from January 8 2024, our Mobile Road Show visited various Mangala field work fronts, inviting our combined workforce to attend. The initiative, in line with our Annual HSE Plan objective, emphasised the importance of road safety, particularly in our operation’s fatal risk events.
Mr. Prakash Sharma, Cairn Construction HSE Manager, inaugurated the campaign, which travelled across our project and operations work areas, reaching more than 1000 personnel. Additionally, 14 staff and workmen received on-the-spot awards for their participation and knowledge.
Machine Guarding, February 2024:
Our Monthly HSE Campaign for February focused on Machine Guarding under the theme “Machine Guards Protect Life.” Recognizing the dangers posed by moving machinery parts, we emphasised the importance of effective guarding to prevent entanglement, crushing, impact, and other potential hazards.
The campaign also highlighted the prevention of hand and finger injuries, emphasising the critical role hands play in daily tasks and the need for proper precautions. Mr. Prakash Sharma, along with HAL Offshore and PMC team members, inaugurated the campaign on February 13, 2024.
This mobile campaign traversed our project and operations work areas, reaching approximately 900 personnel. Around 25 staff and workmen were recognized for their safe work performance during the campaign.
National Safety Day/Week, March 2024:
In line with the 53rd National Safety Day/Week, commemorative programs were conducted across the MBA field under RJ-North BU Projects on March 4, 2024. Business partners organised celebrations involving staff and workmen, including activities such as flag hoisting, safety pledge, poster competitions, and more.
Our site leadership team participated in most of these programs, encouraging HSE messages among workmen. Over 1700 business partner staff and workmen participated in the celebration, with around 150 awards distributed for HSE excellence.
