On May 29, 2025 Justice Manoj Kumar Garg,Rajasthan High Court,visited Cairn’s MPT Plant in Barmer, accompanied by fellow judicial officials Mr. M.R. Suthar, District Judge, Balotra, and Mr. Siddharth Kumar, ADJ, Balotra, along with their families. The visit offered an opportunity for the esteemed guests to gain firsthand insight into Cairn’s energy operations and its contribution to the region’s development.
The delegation received a warm welcome at the Innovation Café in the Operational Base (OB) by Cairn’s senior leadership including Brig B.S. Shekhawat, Director – Cairn Assets; Vandana Mehra, Head – Land Acquisition; Ishita Khazanchi, Head – ESG; Shashwat Kulshreshtha, DGM – Stakeholder Management; Shailesh Sharma, Senior Manager – Stakeholder Management and Sukhvinder Singh, Senior Manager – Security. A comprehensive presentation was delivered by Brig Shekhawat, highlighting Cairn’s CSR and ESG initiatives, stakeholder relations, environmental efforts and security measures. HSE protocols were elaborated upon by Krishan Kant Dwivedi, Senior Engineer – Safety, while Tania Manoj, Field Engineer- MPT, provided an overview of Cairn’s operational processes and technical workflows.
The officials were deeply impressed by the scale, sophistication and importance of the MPT installation. They appreciated the infrastructure, technological excellence and community-driven approach demonstrated by Cairn, expressing admiration for the facility’s contribution to both the region’s growth and the nation’s energy security.
