Amid our experiences, there are unique moments that bring us together, like our Independence Day celebration, which goes beyond the usual flag-hoisting ceremonies.
At Cairn Enterprise Centre (CEC), a cultural event took place, bringing together students, members of the Cairn CSR team, stakeholders, and Land Acquisition team members. Harmeet Sehra, the Head of CSR, hoisted the national flag and recognized the hardworking housekeeping and drivers who had kept CEC running smoothly throughout the year.
In Muli Dhani and Dharnawas, a different kind of Independence Day celebration occurred. We joined dairy cooperative members in celebrating their independence from middlemen and milk adulteration.
The flag was raised and over 50 participants took oath to support more farmers in their village through the Cairn Dairy project.
Across our various locations, students engaged in activities to learn about India’s struggle for independence. Schools became hubs of exploration as students delved into the history of our freedom. Speeches were delivered, games played, and trees planted as symbols of growth.
Even the youngest participants at Nand Ghar celebrated the day with songs and dances they learned about this significant occasion. Winners received prizes, and across Rajasthan, offshore sites, GJ OALP, Pipeline, Assam, and Ravva, over 4000 came together to celebrate unity and knowledge.
At Nand Ghar, the day was marked by simple patriotism. The flag was hoisted, and talented girls created colourful rangolis on the ground. Children and adolescent girls showcased their cultural performances and artwork, highlighting their creative spirits. Prizes were awarded, bringing the community together across generations.
Our RO projects celebrated this day at their plants, emphasising community ownership and the sustainability of social initiatives.
The celebration also reached the District Hospital where staff and support workers were honoured with certificates. Head CSR Harmeet Sehra and Manager Prahalad Singh were recognised for their assistance under our CSR initiative.
Amidst the presence of Principal Medical Officer BL Mansuria and the entire hospital staff, a speech of gratitude was delivered, acknowledging our contribution in enhancing health and hygiene services and developing infrastructure at the medical college. The day ended with gratitude and a promise of a brighter, healthier future.
