Access to quality healthcare is a fundamental human right, yet millions around the world lack basic medical services. At Cairn, we believe in fostering a world where every individual has the opportunity to live a healthy and fulfilling life. Our commitment to community well-being goes beyond our core operations, extending to initiatives that address critical healthcare needs in the regions where we operate.
In July 2024, we collaborated with Zydus Hospital to transform Dhakdi village, Viramgam, into a hub of healing. A team of expert doctors from Zydus Hospital brought their skills to the heart of the community including four specialist doctors: a General Surgeon, a Neuro and Spine Surgeon, a General Medicine expert, and an MBBS physician.
This multi-speciality health camp was a lifeline for residents of Dhakdi and surrounding areas, offering a rare opportunity for comprehensive medical care right on their doorstep. From complex surgeries to everyday ailments, the doctors were there to listen, diagnose, and treat, ensuring no one was left unattended. Over 140 villagers benefitted from Cairn’s initiative.
Our team also initiated the Aarogya Program in Naukata Village, Chungajan partnering with Vivekananda Kendra, Khatkhati. We established a free medical camp near our exploration site, FW001. Over 115 villagers, including several women, received essential healthcare services. Our medical team diligently addressed concerns ranging from blood pressure and sugar levels to skin conditions, providing treatments and medications on the spot. The overwhelming gratitude from the Village Development Committee and gram panchayat is a testament to the positive impact of our initiative. This experience reinforces our commitment to improving the health and well-being of the communities where we operate.
