At CEC, sustainability isn’t just something we talk about, it’s a goal led by students who are turning their awareness into real action. Their journey began at the local sabji mandi where they launched a vibrant campaign to “Beat Plastic Pollution.” By engaging directly with vendors and shoppers, distributing cloth bags and sparking conversations on plastic-free living, they proved that even small steps can make a big impact. The momentum didn’t stop there. With the “Waste to Best” initiative, creativity came alive as waste was reimagined into useful items. Powerful street plays helped share the message in a way everyone could understand and young children from Nand Ghar took part in a special recycling-themed fashion show that touched hearts and earned big applause.

Recognizing their efforts, the Regional Officer of the Pollution Control Board lauded the students for their commitment. Riding this wave of purpose, CEC students introduced the 5S system on campus beginning with “Sort”- organizing scrap under expert supervision and setting the stage for a cleaner learning space. These activities are more than campaigns, they are a reflection of a new generation that isn’t waiting for change, they are leading it. Through every thoughtful action, CEC students are not only inspiring peers but also redefining what it means to be educated, to lead with heart, act with purpose and create a future that’s greener and better for all.
