For over four decades, National Safety Week has been a cornerstone in promoting workplace safety, significantly reducing industrial accidents and embedding a culture of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) responsibility. Spearheaded by the National Safety Council (NSC), established by the Ministry of Labour, Government of India on March 4, 1966, this initiative has been instrumental in driving voluntary safety movements across industries.
Marking the 54th National Safety Week, Cairn commemorated the occasion across the Mangala, Bhagyam, and Aishwariya (MBA) fields under the RJ-North Business Unit, reinforcing our unwavering commitment to safety excellence. Our business partners actively participated in organising engaging safety programs that brought together staff and workmen, with over 1,600 participants taking part in various awareness initiatives. The site leadership team joined the celebrations, reaffirming their commitment to prioritising safety in daily operations.
The week was filled with impactful activities, including flag hoisting, safety pledges, poster and slogan competitions, and recognition of outstanding HSE performers. A special housekeeping drive further strengthened awareness, encouraging everyone to uphold high safety standards in their work environments. To honour the contributions of those who exemplify safety in the workplace, 150 awards were distributed to staff and workmen, recognising their dedication to maintaining a safe and secure working environment.
As we continue to cultivate a strong safety culture, National Safety Week 2025 stands as a reminder that safety is not just a responsibility, it is a way of life. Cairn remains committed to embedding HSE best practices across all operations, ensuring the well-being of every individual who is part of our journey.
