At CERAWeek 2025, one of the world’s most prestigious oil and gas conferences, Cairn proudly took center stage, showcasing India’s vital role in the evolving global energy landscape. As a Strategic Partner of the event, our focus was clear, unlocking India’s immense hydrocarbon potential through international collaborations and driving innovations in deepwater exploration, shale, tight oil, subsea infrastructure, and EPCM services.
A key highlight of the event was a spotlight session featuring our Chairman, Anil Agarwal, alongside Pulitzer Prize winner Dr. Daniel Yergin, Vice President of S&P Global. During the session, Chairman shared his idea for ensuring India’s energy security while advancing the nation’s mission of Aatmanirbhar Bharat. He outlined our ambitious goal of contributing 50% to India’s domestic crude oil and gas production, a significant leap towards reducing our reliance on imports and strengthening energy self-reliance. Backing this vision, he announced our transformative $ 5 illion investment in brownfield projects, which will unlock 5 Billion barrels of reserves and produce 500,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day under $5 per barrel.
As we lookforward, partnerships remain at the heart of our strategy. At CERAWeek, we fortified this vision by signing two critical Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), one with TechnipFMC to accelerate deepwater development in India and another with 2H Offshore to advance offshore projects on our west coast operations. These alliances will bring global expertise and advanced technology to India, driving innovation and propelling us closer to our Aatmanirbhar Bharat mission.
Our leadership team also actively participated in strategic panel discussions, sharing valuable insights on global exploration trends, resilient upstream strategies, energy transition, and sustainability. These conversations weren’t just about ideas; they were opportunities to forge connections that will redefine India’s energy landscape. We also hosted an exclusive private industry reception, bringing together global energy leaders, service providers, and policymakers to spark meaningful partnerships that drive innovation and shape India’s energy future.
