The Ladakh Marathon

I’m thrilled to finally share my remarkable achievement with you all. After a slight delay, but it is finally here!

Drumroll! The Ladakh Marathon has been conquered. It is often hailed as the world’s toughest race and I am proud to tell you all that I have successfully completed it. 🏃♂️🏁

I’m elated to take you on this incredible journey, a journey of a whirlwind of emotions – from the heart-pounding start of the race to enduring the scorching sun. I persevered through every challenge with resilience and strength.

The route was nothing short of awe-inspiring, and I owe immense gratitude to the organizers for their exceptional hydration support and route management. The first 10K flew by in just 1 hour and 5 minutes, but the true test began as the scorching sun beat down.

At the halfway mark, I had been running for 2 hours and 25 minutes, feeling the heat, but I refused to give in. Elevation, low oxygen levels, and the relentless sun couldn’t break my determination as I reached the 35-kilometre mark in nearly 4 hours.

The last 5 kilometres pushed my endurance to the limit, and I’m proud to announce that I crossed the finish line of the Ladakh Marathon (42.195 Kilometres) in an astonishing 5 hours and 13 minutes – nearly 17 minutes ahead of my target time of 5 hours and 30 minutes.

None of this would have been possible without the incredible support of my well-wishers, colleagues, mentors, my dedicated team at go2fitness, and my loving family. Your unwavering encouragement means the world to me. 🙌

Thank you all for being part of this incredible journey and now, to give you a glimpse of the adventure, here are some captivating pictures from the race route. 📸🏃♂️
