Menstrual Hygiene Day at Nand Ghars unfolded as a meaningful blend of learning, sharing and laughter. In a safe and open environment over 30 women and girls gathered for an interactive session led by Dr. Jitendra from Cairn. With warmth and clarity, he addressed the often-unspoken topic of periods discussing hygiene practices and exploring the pros and cons of sanitary napkins, cloth pads and menstrual cups. The conversation was not just informative but empowering, encouraging the community to make choices that are safe, sustainable and right for them.
Games and open dialogues added lightness to the day, inviting questions and stories from across generations. From teenage girls voicing curiosities to mothers reflecting on their own journeys, the room echoed with honesty and connection. The thoughtful gesture of gifting menstrual cups to game winners reinforced the message of health, dignity and progress. What began as a simple session became a catalyst for change- shifting perceptions, strengthening confidence and reminding everyone that awareness is the first step toward empowerment.
