The festivities were in full swing. RJ North kicked things off with the delicious tradition of Dussehra Jalebi-Fafda on October 2, 2025. This was followed by the explosion of local colour and talent with Rangilo Rajasthan on October 16, 2025. It was a vibrant evening of music, performances, and the always competitive Antakshari. We wrapped up the month on a peaceful note with Laxmi Poojan at Mangalakunj Temple, filling the air with devotion and warmth. Meanwhile, in RJ South, we got our groove on! Navratri and Diwali were a beautiful display of unity, with energetic Garba, spirited Dandiya, and traditional pooja ceremonies that brought everyone together in a spirit of joy.

Out on the West Coast, we successfully blended wellness with celebration. We sweated it out with a Badminton Championship and Cricket at Suvali Beach, then cleaned up for a lovely Diwali Dinner filled with music, laughter, and togetherness. We proudly concluded the month by reaffirming our shared values on National Unity Day (October 31, 2025). Our Corporate Office was equally vibrant, decked out for a grand Diwali Pooja and Mela, complete with décor, food, and cultural performances. To add a layer of depth and inspiration, a special Leadership Unplugged session with Graham Richardson offered a moment of reflection. It was a wonderful reminder that learning and growth are truly part of the Cairn DNA.

Under the umbrella of #TheDeepMindReset, we put our emotional well-being front and center. A series of sessions led by Marsh Mercer encouraged us to focus on emotional resilience and balance. We tackled practical, real-life topics like Mental Health in Catastrophes, how to truly enjoy Family, Festivities, and Bonding, and even the trick to Beating the Post-Festival Dip. These sessions helped us pause, reconnect, and pick up mindful habits for long-term health. To keep the momentum going, we also reinforced this focus through self-paced e-learning modules on mindfulness and stress management.

October truly captured the heart of Cairn, where our culture, our well-being, and our connections ignite our collective energy. We’re committed to building India’s energy future, and we remain equally devoted to nurturing the incredible people who make that powerful journey possible.

Our new batch is full of fresh ideas, energy, and curiosity, recruited from prestigious institutions such as ISM Dhanbad, NITs, MIT Pune, and MNIT Jaipur. They include 19 Graduate Engineers, 4 Graduate Trainees, and 2 Management Trainees in Digital, covering essential fields from Petroleum and Mechanical to Safety and Chemistry. 

Their exciting journey kicks off with BOLD – Barrels of Learning Per Day, our flagship one-year program. BOLD is designed to turn these young professionals into well-rounded leaders through cross-functional experience, mentorship, and intensive training.

Celebrations Across Locations

Our teams welcomed traditional festivals with energy and warmth. Ganpati Visarjan saw heartfelt farewells to Lord Ganesha, filled with devotion and joy. Onam was celebrated with vibrant and colorful festivities across Cairn locations, while Vishwakarma Pooja honoured the creativity, craftsmanship, and dedication of our teams. The Navratri celebrations brought music, dance, and cheer to every corner of Cairn, making the month truly lively and memorable.

Cross-Location Highlights

Celebrations, learning, and teamwork were in full swing across Cairn’s locations. At the Corporate hub, Leadership Unplugged with Hitesh Vaid, CFO – Cairn Oil & Gas, offered candid conversations and valuable insights. The Coffee Connect Session with Manu Khanna, Director East Coast, fostered dialogue and collaboration, while Sweet Friday brought teams together, spreading joy and connection one treat at a time.

In the North-East, Engineers Day celebrated the brilliance of our engineers through the interactive “Nuts, Bolts & Brains” simulation exercise, engaging operators, supervisors, and managers alike. Wellness Bites: Nutrition Week encouraged friendly competition as employees participated in daily challenges tracked via a lively leaderboard.

RJ North marked 16 years of first oil from Mangala with Mangala Day celebrations, honouring decades of dedication, teamwork, and achievement.

On the West Coast, the Badminton Tournament energised the workplace, highlighting teamwork, sporting spirit, and friendly rivalry among employees.

In the East Coast, Townhall sessions with leadership, including Jasmin Sahurity and Manu Khanna, encouraged open discussions and strengthened connections across teams, bringing everyone closer to shared goals.

Wellness at the Core

Under the theme #RoutinesRhythmsAndRealResults, Marsh Mercer led a series of engaging wellness sessions throughout September. From decoding supplements in Swipe Left on Bad Advice on September 10, exploring the power of routines in Rhythms Over Ruts on September 17, to building heart-healthy habits in Beat by Beat on September 24. These encouraged employees to rethink their daily routines, embrace healthier practices, and prioritise their well-being.

E-Learning for Women’s Health & Fitness Month

In celebration of Women’s Health & Fitness Month, dedicated e-learning courses were rolled out to support employees in adopting healthier lifestyles. These sessions provided practical tips, guidance, and tools to help women prioritise their physical and mental well-being, fostering awareness and encouraging proactive steps toward long-term health. By equipping employees with knowledge and resources, the initiative aimed to inspire confidence, balance, and empowerment in every aspect of life.

September was a month of harmony, where devotion, learning, celebration, and health came together to strengthen the Cairn family, reminding us that growth and well-being go hand in hand.

Across RJ North, the anthem, parade, and felicitations for Security Guards, ASOs and support staff reflected gratitude and pride in those who safeguard Cairn’s operations. At RJ South, the tricolour soared high as employees gathered in a moving display of unity. This Friendship Day, our workplace came alive with laughter, colors and the sweet spirit of camaraderie as we celebrated Desk Buddies Day. From the morning itself, desks turned into little hubs of joy, snacks were passed around, colorful cards were exchanged and friendship bands found their way onto wrists. The air was filled with cheerful chatter and the rustle of candy wrappers, reminding everyone that sometimes the smallest gestures bring the biggest smiles.

What made the day truly special was the reminder that friendship isn’t just outside office walls, it blooms right at our desks. Whether it’s sharing a quick snack during a busy day, lending a helping hand in a project or simply being there to listen, our desk buddies make every challenge lighter and every day brighter. After all, the best support often isn’t far away, it’s just a desk away.

The one-week training followed a well-structured curriculum that covered critical emergency response modules. These included firefighting using extinguishers at pipelines, wellheads and electrical panels, hose and nozzle operation with dry and wet drills, and emergency communication protocols along with a live demonstration of BLEVE (Boiling Liquid Expanding Vapor Explosion). Participants were also trained in the donning and doffing of Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), search and rescue missions in smoke-filled environments, handling fires in road tanker trucks, and tackling large-scale storage tank fires using foam systems. Scenarios such as rig fires, fires in dykes/bund areas, and CPR practice using mannequins ensured the training addressed a wide range of high-risk situations. In addition, accident causation frameworks like the Why Matrix and Swiss Cheese Model were introduced to instil a deeper understanding of incident prevention.

The immersive format of the training kept participants highly engaged, with active participation and visible enthusiasm throughout the sessions. The hands-on approach and relevance to real-world challenges ensured that key concepts were internalized effectively. Many attendees shared that the training surpassed their expectations, praising the trainers’ expertise, the clarity of instruction, and the opportunity to apply learnings in simulated environments. Group activities and live demonstrations created a collaborative atmosphere, promoting team coordination and trust, critical elements in any emergency response.

The training went beyond technical upskilling, fostering a renewed sense of safety consciousness among the workforce. Participants left with enhanced confidence in their ability to respond to emergencies and a heightened awareness of the importance of preparedness in high-stakes situations. The program also strengthened camaraderie among team members and reinforced Cairn’s culture of safety and responsibility. Initiatives like this demonstrate Cairn’s commitment to operational safety, environmental protection and continuous improvement in emergency response standards across its exploration and production activities.
