Underscoring the need for community well-being in the district of Barmer, Rajasthan, an eye check-up camp was organised in collaboration with Barmer Jan Sewa Samiti (BJSS) at Netra Jyoti Hospital on June 8 – 9, 2024. During the camp, the specialist doctors provided 317 OPD consultations and performed 50 cataract surgeries, free of charge for our community members who visited the camp from the remotest parts of the district. This initiative, carried out in convergence with BJSS to provide free of cost eye care services to the community, is a major step towards upgrading the health care facilities in the district while ensuring timely treatment to those in need.
