In October 2025, we had the privilege of supporting a proud moment for India on the global sporting stage. We partnered with the BWF World Junior Mixed Team Championship and World Junior Championship 2025, held in Guwahati from October 6-11 and October 12-19, 2025 . This event showcased the dedication and strength of India’s young athletes.
India created history as the Junior Badminton Team secured their first-ever bronze in the mixed team category, while Tanvi Sharma brought home a silver, marking the country’s return to the individual podium after 17 years. These achievements really highlight the incredible dedication and spirit of our nation’s young people.
During the tournament, our Northeast leadership team engaged with eminent dignitaries and sports leaders, including Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam; Pullela Gopichand, Vice President, Badminton Association of India; Khunying Patama Leeswadtrakul, President, Badminton World Federation; Sanjay Mishra, Secretary General, BAI; and Olympian B. Sai Praneeth, among others.
To celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship locally, we hosted a friendly badminton tournament at our Northeast office, bringing employees and community members together for a day of energy and team spirit.
Our support for sports in Assam is growing. From backing rising kiteboarding talent Nikhamoni Bora to empowering para-athletes through Project Divyang (Sports), we’re dedicated to helping young champions grow and making sure everyone can achieve sporting excellence.
As we fuel the nation’s energy needs, we are equally proud to fuel dreams, helping young Indians step onto global platforms, inspire future generations, and build a stronger, confident, and vibrant India.
