The transition into corporate life is a milestone, and we strive to ensure it starts with clarity, intention, and a sense of direction. The BOLD FY25 campus hires embarked on their journey with a dynamic and immersive weeklong induction program at OB Barmer, conducted in two batches, Batch 1 from January 13 to 18, 2025, and Batch 2 from March 3 to 8, 2025. This program was designed to introduce them to Cairn’s mission, vision, values, and key operational processes, equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to navigate their roles effectively.

The induction featured interactive leadership sessions that provided new hires with strategic insights into Cairn’s operations. Day 1 kicked off with MANCO-led sessions, setting the stage for understanding the company’s structure and long-term vision. Day 2 focused on functional deep dives, where department heads outlined their roles and contributions to Cairn’s success. By Day 3, technical and support teams took the stage, offering an in-depth perspective on core processes and operational support systems.

To ease the transition from campus to corporate, participants engaged in a two-day corporate readiness training by Knolskape on Days 4 & 5. This training provided essential skills and a mindset shift, ensuring they were prepared to embrace their new roles with confidence.

Day 6 was an eye-opening experience as new hires witnessed Cairn’s impact beyond business. They underwent HSE training and visited key Barmer operations, including the Mangala Processing Terminal, Well Pad, and RJ North & South sites. A significant highlight was their engagement with Cairn’s CSR initiatives, from Nand Ghar (early childhood education) to Jeevan Amrit (safe drinking water), Barmer Unnati (rainwater harvesting), and the Cairn Enterprise Centre (skill development). A special skill development session by Priya Sharma further emphasized the company’s commitment to empowering communities.

The induction concluded with a BOLD dinner alongside Cairn’s leadership team, an evening filled with engaging conversations, networking, and camaraderie. This event not only marked the completion of their induction but also set the tone for an exciting and impactful career at Cairn.

Before stepping fully into their roles, all 31 campus hires from BOLD Batch 1 (including GETs and MT-CAs) underwent mandatory assessments in February 2025.

The technical assessments, designed by Cairn’s chiefs, evaluated participants’ foundational knowledge in their respective fields. The behavioral assessments, aligned with Vedanta’s core values, aimed to instill a strong sense of commitment, professionalism, and leadership.

These assessments, successfully conducted on the Darwinbox-Upside LMS platform, played a crucial role in preparing the young professionals for their journey ahead, ensuring they were equipped with both the technical acumen and the right mindset to contribute effectively to Cairn’s vision.
