On November 22, 2024, the Mangala Processing Terminal (MPT) in Barmer was honoured to host esteemed officials from the Mines and Petroleum Department of the Government of Rajasthan. T. Ravikant IAS, Principal Secretary, and Ajay Sharma, Additional Director, were warmly welcomed by Cairn’s senior leadership team, including Brigadier B.S. Shekhawat, Director, Cairn Assets; Kiran Mandape, Field Manager SBU Gas; and Hitendra Patel, Deputy Head of Operations, RJ North.
During the visit, the officials provided a comprehensive overview of MPT’s operations, including growth projects, community development initiatives, and key Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) programs. The tour of the MPT, led by our leadership team and key personnel, offered valuable insights into the state-of-the-art facility. A tour highlight included visiting the MPT’s green belt corridor, showcasing the successful ‘Khejri’ plantation initiative. The officials also visited Mangala Well Pad 8, observing the operational excellence firsthand.
The officials admired our world-class oil and gas asset, recognising its significant contribution to India’s energy security. This visit served as a valuable platform for fostering our collaboration with the Rajasthan government and reinforcing our commitment to sustainable development and community engagement.
