Rajasthan stands on the brink of transformative growth, and Cairn is at the forefront of this exciting journey. As part of our commitment to fostering sustainable development and economic progress in the region, Our Chairman Mr. Anil Agarwal recently met with the Hon. Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, and a delegation of state ministers during the Rising Rajasthan Roadshow in the United Kingdom. This pivotal event marked a significant step towards attracting investment and collaboration between the state and global investors.
During their discussions, the Group committed to investments exceeding Rs. 1 lakh crore across various sectors, including zinc, oil and gas, and renewable energy. Notably, Cairn pledged Rs. 35,000 crores to enhance its capacity to 300,000 barrels per day, aligning with the nation’s goal of achieving energy self-sufficiency, or ‘aatmanirbharta.’
As part of the ongoing Rising Rajasthan campaign, the Barmer District Administration organised an Industry Exhibition and Investor Meet in Barmer on October 16, 2024. Cairn showcased its substantial contributions to the state, highlighting the socio-economic benefits generated through its operations. A standout feature of the exhibition was a Virtual Reality (VR) module used for health, safety, and environment (HSE) training, alongside product showcases from local self-help groups, including cookies from the Jiji Bai Self Help Group and ghee and pickles from the Brahmani Mata Self Help Group.
The event was graced by esteemed guests, including Shri KK Vishnoi, Hon’ble Minister of State for Industry & Commerce, Youth Affairs & Sports; Shri Subir Kumar IAS, Principal Secretary to Government of Rajasthan’s Food & Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department; Smt. Tina Dabi IAS, Collector & District Magistrate of Barmer; and Mr. Narendra Singh Meena IPS, Superintendent of Police, Barmer.
Through initiatives like the Rising Rajasthan campaign, the state is attracting significant investment and empowering local communities, paving the way for a prosperous future.
