Cairn marked a significant milestone this October: 30 years of successful operations in India. The journey began in 1994 when the Production Sharing Contract (PSC) for the Ravva field was signed.

As Manu Khanna, Director—East Coast, Cairn Oil & Gas, aptly puts it, “Ravva, which rightly so also means ‘Diamond’ in Telegu, would not have been possible without the combined efforts of our employees, joint venture partners, business partners, stakeholders, and most importantly, the communities around our areas of operations.”

Over the past three decades, Ravva has emerged as a beacon of innovation and sustainability. The field has yielded remarkable results, producing 316.28 million barrels of oil, contributing significantly to India’s energy security. With a recovery factor of 54.5%, Ravva stands as a testament to Cairn’s commitment to maximising resource recovery.

Here’s a glimpse of our journey of Ravva

As Cairn celebrates its 30th anniversary, the future looks promising. We remain committed to its vision of enabling India’s energy independence. With a focus on exploration, development, and production, Cairn aims to further strengthen its position as a key player in India’s energy landscape.

To commemorate this milestone, we also launched a captivating campaign titled “Explore India with Cairn”. This campaign highlights the company’s journey, commitment to India, and invitation to partners to join in its future endeavours.
