A quiet revolution is underway amidst the heart of the nation. Women, once confined to domestic roles, are breaking barriers and embracing opportunities. Through initiatives like the Dairy Development and Animal Husbandry Project, these women are not only improving their livelihoods but also inspiring their communities.
From celebrating International Girl Child Day to marking World Food Day, our Dairy Development and Animal Husbandry Project has been a catalyst for change. It’s a platform that empowers women, encourages learning, and fosters sustainable practices.
On International Girl Child Day, women gathered in Golasan and Sanchore, to participate in a series of activities designed to inspire and uplift. This event was a testament to the project’s commitment to women’s empowerment, encouraging them to step outside their comfort zones and pursue their aspirations.
World Food Day was celebrated in Bhagwanji ki Dhani with a special guest, Ashwini Kumar, a field manager from Shree Ram Fertilizer Company. Kumar shared his expertise on sustainable agriculture, emphasizing the importance of quality crops and effective farming practices. Over 50 participants, including 13 who will be conducting field demonstrations, gained valuable insights from this interaction.
To broaden their horizons and learn from best practices, a group of 27 women from four villages embarked on a two-day exposure visit to Gujarat. This immersive experience allowed them to witness firsthand the latest techniques in dairy farming, cattle husbandry, and milk processing. By sharing knowledge and experiences, these women are building a network of support and innovation.
Through these initiatives, the Dairy Development and Animal Husbandry Project is empowering women and transforming rural communities. By investing in women, we invest in the future.
