On September 24 2024, Cairn’s Technical Forum for Drilling and Petroleum Engineering successfully took place, showcasing the spirit of innovation and collaboration within the company. Themed “Innovating the Wellbore: Driving Efficiency and Sustainability,” the event gathered top engineering minds to exchange ideas, share success stories, and highlight advancements shaping the future of the drilling and petroleum engineering functions.
Koushlendra Singh, Interim Director of Drilling and Wells, first announced the forum. The event promised an opportunity to foster innovation and drive efficiency, with engineers presenting their abstracts focused on addressing well construction and intervention challenges. The goal was to enhance production, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability in operations, aligning with the company’s mission to continuously improve and stay ahead in the industry continuously.
The day-long event at the Gurgaon office featured a series of technical sessions and insightful presentations. Moderated by our experts in the field, the sessions touched upon key topics such as Artificial Lift Systems, Well Interventions, Simulations, Drilling, and Workover. These presentations provided practical insights into innovative solutions to overcome the challenges faced in the daily operations of well construction.
Some of the event’s key moments included the opening remarks by Koushlendra Singh and Vinayak, followed by an introduction by Avinash Bohra. The technical sessions were moderated by industry veterans like Anand Vadlamani, Piyush Kumar, Amarnath Kumar, Bibhuti Prasad, and Debarup Deb, with young and experienced engineers sharing their groundbreaking work.
