Journey of the Cairn-gineers

Testimonies from Young Engineers

Somya Krishna
Reservoir Engineer, Sub Surface

As a Reservoir Engineer at Cairn, I’ve been part of India’s largest ASP injection project, working closely with geologists, production engineers, drilling engineers, and others from diverse disciplines. It’s been an incredible learning curve, and I am proud to be part of such an innovative project. The ASP project is designed to recover oil from mature fields, contributing to India’s domestic oil production. We’ve already started injecting ASP into three wells at Mangala, and we expect a 20% boost in oil recovery, further driving Cairn’s success.

Priansh Pandya
Graduate Engineer Trainee, Operations

I joined Cairn in November 2023 and recently transitioned to the ASP operations team. My role involves ensuring continuous plant operations, managing manpower, and enhancing data monitoring systems. Since June 2024, I’ve been part of the team overseeing the ASP plant, leading batch preparations, and successfully injecting into three wells. The project’s success will help Cairn meet its goal of contributing to 50% of India’s domestic crude oil production.
