The recent plantation drive within the plant’s fenced boundary serves as a cornerstone of RJ South’s commitment. Here, 2,600 meticulously chosen native species have taken root, creating a haven for wildlife and a testament to ecological balance. This initiative goes beyond environmental compliance. It fosters a sense of community with enthusiastic participation from employees and highlights the shared responsibility we all hold for our planet.
A deliberate selection of native species including Ber, Neem, Gunda, Golmohar, Khejadi, Jhal, Kumatha, and Saras sapling was done so they thrive alongside existing flora, supporting wildlife and contributing to the restoration of natural habitats. This green haven within the plant boundary will not only purify the air for employees but also act as a symbol of RJ South’s ongoing journey towards environmental stewardship.
Spreading the Seeds of Change:
Recognizing the importance of community engagement and environmental sustainability, we recently distributed 2,000 local saplings to local schools and panchayats. Aligned with the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” program, this initiative promotes planting trees in honor of mothers, fostering a greener future for generations to come. These carefully selected saplings, are perfectly adapted to the local environment. These trees will contribute to preserving biodiversity and enriching the green cover in these communities. By involving educational institutions and local governance bodies, we aims to cultivate a deep-rooted sense of environmental responsibility within the younger generation and the wider community.

Embracing a unique approach, the RJ South has sown 3,000 seeds of native plants beneath desert bushes, leveraging the power of “symbiotic support”. These bushes act as nurse plants, offering essential shade, reducing wind exposure, and protecting young seedlings from grazing threats. The bushes’ root systems further contribute by preventing soil erosion, creating a stable foundation for new growth. This ingenious method not only enhances survival rates but also bolsters biodiversity and ecosystem stability across desert landscapes.
