A beacon of hope was emerging in the heart of Barmer, where the arid landscape often seems devoid of life. In partnership with the Anil Agarwal Foundation’s TACO project, Cairn had joined forces with the Jambeshwar Environment and Wildlife Society to safeguard the precious wildlife of Dewda, Sanchore district.
The Jambeshwar Environment and Wildlife Society was synonymous with compassion and dedication. Their unwavering commitment to rescuing, treating, and rehabilitating injured or orphaned animals, particularly the graceful Gazelle and the elusive Black Buck, earned them the community’s respect and admiration.
The collaboration between Cairn, the TACO project, and the society promised to revolutionize wildlife conservation efforts in the region. To ensure the animals’ well-being, improved facilities, such as clean drinking water, well-stocked fodder stores, and state-of-the-art animal ambulances, would be established.
As the partnership deepened, the once-isolated sanctuary in Dewda became a haven for Barmer’s wildlife. Once threatened by poaching, habitat loss, and human-wildlife conflict, the animals now had a safe and nurturing environment to recover and thrive.
The collaboration was more than just a physical transformation; it was a testament to the power of partnership and the unwavering belief in preserving our natural heritage. Cairn, the TACO project, and the Jambeshwar Environment and Wildlife Society were writing a new chapter in the story of Barmer’s wildlife, filled with hope, compassion, and the promise of a brighter future for generations to come.
