A simple yet powerful act of providing clean water through Cairn’s Handpump Initiative had rippled through the lives of the people in Naginijan, Assam. This initiative, a reflection of the company’s commitment to community development and sustainability, had become a vital lifeline for the village.

Four handpumps, each a symbol of hope and progress, had been installed, transforming the lives of 25 households. Over 150-200 people now have access to clean, safe water, a once elusive luxury. The risk of water-borne diseases, a constant threat in the region, was significantly reduced, improving health and well-being.

Meanwhile, Cairn was making a significant contribution to road safety on the other side of the country. In partnership with the Barmer District Transport Office, the company provided reflector tape rolls, a simple but essential tool for enhancing road visibility. Cairn’s Road Safety team actively participated in the initiative, spreading awareness about the importance of safe driving practices.

Following this, on International Coastal Clean Up Day 2024, Cairn joined forces with ONGC Kakinada and the Indian Coast Guard in a monumental effort to protect our precious coastal ecosystems. Nearly 1,000 volunteers, including NCC members, students, NGOs, and law enforcement agencies, cleaned up NTR Beach near Ravva.
