As we celebrated the 78th Independence Day, it was heartening to witness a vibrant display of patriotism and unity across all our sites. The day reminded us of our rich heritage and the collective spirit that drives us towards building a self-reliant India.
The festivities began with the hoisting of the national flag, a symbol of our nation’s enduring values. As the tricolor fluttered against the backdrop of our diverse locations, employees, business partners, and their families gathered to sing the national anthem, infusing the air with a profound sense of pride and unity.

A Display of Camaraderie at Barmer
In Rajasthan’s Barmer, the Adarsh Stadium was abuzz with excitement as a vibrant tableau titled ‘Project Dharohar – Paryatan ka Naya Sitara, Barmer Humara‘ was showcased. This striking representation highlighted Barmer’s rich cultural heritage and its significance in the realm of tourism. The tableau, which captured the essence of traditional crafts and artistic skills, won the commendable second place among sixteen other entries, drawing an audience of around 5000 locals.
Vandana Mehra led the flag-hoisting ceremony in CEC Barmer with a heartfelt recognition of the students, housekeeping staff, and security personnel. Her words inspired many, reinforcing the values of dedication and ambition. She also celebrated Independence Day at Nand Ghars, and Cairn Center of Excellence (CCoE), Jodhpur.
In Gujarat, the day’s spirit extended to academic excellence as Cairn employees honoured Government schools’ students for their achievements. Collaborating with the Integrated Child Development Service (ICDS) and Health Departments, they distributed food to students and community members, furthering the sense of unity and support.
Assam saw a spirited football tournament designed to engage the youth and instill a sense of national pride through sportsmanship.
These diverse celebrations across our locations marked a significant national occasion and highlighted our collective commitment to contributing to India’s energy security and socio-economic development.
