In the heart of Barmer, Cairn is weaving a vibrant tapestry of community development and environmental stewardship. Our commitment to empowering locals and safeguarding the planet is evident in two significant projects that have recently taken root.
Empowering Women, Brightening Futures
In Nokhra village of Barmer, a new empowerment chapter began for 30 young women. On World Youth Skills Day, we launched a Beautician Assistance course, a two-month program designed to equip these women with the skills to excel in the beauty industry. This initiative, aligned with the broader goal of women’s self-reliance, offers a pathway to economic independence. By learning the art of beauty, these young women are gaining vocational skills and the tools to break free from traditional gender roles and contribute meaningfully to their families and communities.
Greening the Desert, Nurturing Tomorrow
Beyond the classroom, our commitment to environmental sustainability is equally profound. In partnership with the Rajasthan Chief Minister’s Intensive Tree Plantation Campaign in Van Khand, Bandra, CEC students joined forces with 120 other participants to plant 200 saplings. This initiative, part of the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Nam” campaign, is a testament to our dedication to transforming Barmer into a greener, more sustainable region. By encouraging students to participate in environmental initiatives actively, the company fosters a sense of responsibility and inspires a new generation of environmental stewards.
A Holistic Approach to Social Responsibility
These two projects exemplify our holistic approach to social responsibility. By empowering individuals and nurturing the environment, the company creates a ripple effect that benefits the entire community. The Beautician Assistance course provides women with the means to improve their livelihoods, while the tree plantation initiative helps to combat desertification and create a healthier ecosystem. Together, these efforts demonstrate our commitment to building a brighter, more sustainable future for Barmer and its people.
