On August 1, 2024, we embarked on a transformative journey to reinforce Vedanta’s core values and our unwavering commitment to the Code of Business Ethics (COBE). This significant session saw the active participation of nearly 1500 business partners and 500 employees from the Cairn site and various office locations, all dedicated to embracing and upholding our 16 DNA principles. Our ManCo leaders addressed the gathering on the importance of conducting the business with the highest levels of integrity and ethics.

Inspirational Opening by CHRO – Pushkar Kumar

Pushkar set the tone for the session with an inspiring address, highlighting the critical role of ethics in shaping Vedanta’s future. He underscored our dedication to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, aligning with our long-term goals and corporate vision.

Insights from CFO – Hitesh Vaid

Hitesh shared his valuable insights on the financial implications of ethical behaviour, emphasising that integrity is not only a moral imperative but also essential for sustainable business success. He discussed how ethical practices contribute to transparency and fairness in our financial operations.

In-Depth Ethics Training by Ashis Mukherjee

Ashis provided an in-depth overview of Vedanta’s Code of Business Ethics and the 16 DNA principles, covering key areas such as setting clear ethical expectations for business partners, establishing policies to prevent conflicts of interest, and emphasising the importance of continuous ethical education and communication to reinforce Vedanta’s values.

Closing remarks by CCO – Andrew McIntosh

Andrew concluded the session with a powerful closing address, emphasising the role each of us plays in upholding our organisation’s ethical framework. He urged everyone to reflect on the key takeaways and integrate them into our daily business practices.
