The lives of rural communities in Barmer are intricately intertwined with the health and well-being of their livestock. Recognising this deep-rooted connection, we at Cairn have been steadfast in our efforts to support the agricultural backbone of our society. From ensuring the health of their animals to empowering farmers with knowledge and resources, our initiatives aim to uplift the lives of the farmers in Barmer.
On July 19, 2024, a Cattle Health and Counselling Camp was organised in collaboration with The Animal Care Organization (TACO) at Padrdi, Barmer District. This camp successfully treated 417 animals, including camels, cows, buffaloes, sheep, and goats, benefiting 23 families. Expert veterinarians from the Department of Animal Husbandry provided essential care to address seasonal livestock diseases.
Following this, on July 25, 2024, we hosted our annual convention for farmers in Narinadi. Over 350 farmers from 63 villages gathered to exchange knowledge and experiences related to dairy farming. Experts provided valuable insights on government schemes, agriculture, and finance. This platform strengthened the farmer community and reaffirmed our commitment to their growth and prosperity.
These initiatives demonstrate our dedication to holistic rural development by addressing animal health and farmer empowerment. We remain committed to supporting our communities in achieving sustainable livelihoods.
