Committed to our vision of producing 50% domestic oil and gas, we are continuously exploring and developing our hydrocarbon potential. In line with the same, we have commenced India’s largest commercial ASP injection in the Mangala field in Barmer, Rajasthan. Alkaline Surfactant Polymer (ASP) is one of the most unique Enhanced Oil Recovery methods where polymer and surfactants are injected into the matured fields to increase recovery. This technology has been implemented at the MWP-1 & 19 project site and an ASP injection facility has been inaugurated at Well pad 19.
This milestone highlights our ability to innovate technological breakthroughs which help recovery from matured fields and accelerate future field development. We are expected to yield about 20% additional oil recovery in the targeted area.
This achievement comes at a great time as we celebrate the 15th anniversary of our largest onshore field – Mangala, furthering our commitment in exploring the Barmer Basin and driving energy aatmanirbharta.
