“I believe yoga is not just a fitness mantra but a path to inner strength, peace, positivity, confidence, and a sense of global unity.”

Dr. Uma’s story with yoga is a testament to its transformative power. Don’t let the BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) from the National Institute of Ayurveda Jaipurand MPH (Master’s in Public Health) from the National Institute of Health and Family Welfare Delhi fool you – Dr. Uma isn’t just a qualified professional; he’s a passionate yoga teacher and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Lead- RJ North & Gujarat for Cairn.

His journey began during his studies, sparked by a simple textbook – “Yog & Ayurveda.” What started as a way to ace his exams under his professor’s guidance soon blossomed into a lifelong passion.

Dr. Uma’s dedication extends far beyond the classroom. For 14 years, he’s actively collaborated with Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs), social welfare societies, and even Lions and Rotary Clubs. Through countless yoga camps, he’s touched the lives of thousands and spread awareness about yoga and Pranayama within the community.

His approach is rooted in Maharishi Patanjali’s Ashtanga Yoga, a holistic system encompassing eight limbs – from ethical conduct (Yamas) to meditation (Dhyana). Each stage is meticulously designed to combat lifestyle diseases, strengthen the body, and unlock inner power through the chakras.

Yoga isn’t just a practice for Dr. Uma; it’s a way of life. Whether at home or on business trips, his day starts with yoga and Pranayama. He believes it’s the key to an elevated life — a union of the self with something greater.

Dr. Uma’s story is an inspiration, proving that yoga’s benefits extend far beyond the physical mat. It’s a journey towards inner strength, peace, and a life lived with purpose.
