Pledging to protect and conserve biodiversity as a part of our vision of ‘Transforming the planet’, our Environment team at Mangala Processing Terminal recently hosted an engaging environmental workshop on Saturday, May 25, 2024, aimed at raising awareness about the importance of environmental conservation and the role of indigenous trees in maintaining ecological balance. Bhera Ram Bhakhar, an environmental expert, led the workshop where he highlighted the critical need to safeguard and promote indigenous trees like Shekhawati, Jal, Ker, Rohida, Kummat, and Kankedi. He emphasized their importance in preventing desertification, building ecosystem resilience, preserving biodiversity, and maintaining environmental equilibrium. Mr. Bhakhar also stressed the significance of involving the younger generation in conservation efforts to sustain our planet’s health and vitality. The workshop was chaired by Dr BR Jat, Chief Environment Manager.

During the workshop, which was attended by more than 50 participants, the teams reaffirmed Cairn’s commitment to protecting the environment and fostering a harmonious coexistence between its projects and nature.
