At Cairn, we are dedicated to equipping the youth of our community with the skills and knowledge to succeed in today’s job market and nurture leaders of tomorrow. As an effort towards the same, we were thrilled to launch exciting new training programs in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector at the Cairn Enterprise Centre (CEC). Following are some highlights:

Career Guidance and Placements Boost

To enhance our CEC trainees’ career paths, we held a career counselling and placement seminar in Barmer, supported by SBI Life Insurance and Kotak Mahindra Bank. The session focused on Business Correspondent and Business Facilitator roles. Over 70 participants received guidance on aligning their skills with banking opportunities. Notably, 18 youths secured positions as trainee officers at Prayas Financial Services, SBI Card, and Annapurna Finance, with starting salaries of ₹15,000+ and accommodation / food benefits.

Debt Recovery Agent Program Sees Success

Following the success of our first Debt Recovery Agent (DRA) batch, we virtually inaugurated the second batch via Zoom, led by Brigadier B.S. Shekhawat. We enrolled 35 new students. From the first batch, 18 passed the government exam and secured jobs, reflecting a 70% placement rate and earning ₹10-15k. The remaining 17 will have the opportunity to re-attempt the exam. This highlights our commitment to quality education and employment outcomes.

Enhancing Student Skills

We implemented various activities to develop our students’ communication skills, creativity, and personality, including Letter to Myself exercise, Mother’s Day art and craft project and Debate competition

Our efforts to empower the youth of Barmer through the Cairn Enterprise Centre reaffirms our commitment to building the self-reliant India and become truly ‘Vocal for Local’.
