In April, we commemorated several significant international observances aimed at promoting health, well-being, and environmental consciousness amongst our communities. These events highlighted our key initiatives undertaken to address pressing health challenges and underscored the community’s commitment to fostering a healthier and more sustainable environment. Below are the highlights of the activities carried out on World Malaria Day, World Earth Day, and World Health Day.
World Malaria Day:

World Malaria Day was commemorated with a significant event held at the Chief Medical Health Officer’s office, uniting government departments and public health officials across various sectors. More than 500 community health workers, including Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHA) and Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANM), were a part of the event, highlighting their crucial role in malaria prevention. The frontline workers were recognised for their dedication and perseverance in the field. The event included an informative session at the Primary Health Centre (PHC), training health workers and community members on preventive measures and treatment protocols for malaria. Long-lasting insecticide-treated mosquito nets were distributed to residents, and community engagement activities stressed the importance of early diagnosis and prompt treatment. Collaboration with local health workers ensured effective addressing of queries and concerns.
World Earth Day:

As a part of World Earth Day activities, our site teams organised a tree-planting drive involving community members and local stakeholders. Additionally, a drawing competition was also held to celebrate Earth Day.
World Health Day:

On World Health Day, enlightening sessions and engaging activities were conducted to promote health awareness and well-being among our students and staff. Women members of the village were honoured for their active participation in health and social welfare initiatives.
Also, as part of the event fun and interactive health and physical games, including Tug of War, Balloon Blowing, Lemon Spoon Racing, Jumping Rope, Push-ups, and Mind Concentration Games were held to have active participation and there by building awareness on health initiatives. These activities aimed to promote teamwork, physical fitness, and mental agility among the participants.
Carin’s April observances demonstrated a firm commitment to public health awareness and environmental stewardship. These initiatives underscored Carin’s dedication to fostering a healthier and more sustainable future.
