An Ergonomic Risk Assessment (ERA) is a thorough investigation conducted to identify, analyse, evaluate and prioritise risks associated with ergonomic factors in the workplace. These assessments are crucial as they help uncover risks linked to repetitive tasks, improper workstation setup, and misuse of equipment, ultimately aiming to enhance safety, comfort, and efficiency. Common injuries highlighted in these assessments include poor posture, frequent lifting, and improperly adjusted workstations or chairs.
The ERA for Gurgaon-based employees and third-party contractors took place from February 19 – 23, 2024. A total of 222 employees, along with their workstations, were evaluated during this exercise.
Ergonomic risk assessments play a significant role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment, promoting employee well-being, productivity, and overall satisfaction.
