Through our Community Help Desk project, we extended assistance to Chavada Ripal Motibhai, a resident of Goraiya village in Viramgam Taluka, Ahmedabad District. Ripal recently benefited from the Kuvarbai nu Mameru Yojana, a government scheme aimed at supporting marriages of daughters from poor backgrounds.
With Rs. 12,000 directly deposited into her account, this assistance significantly aids Ripal and her family in managing marriage-related expenses. Such initiatives play a crucial role in empowering individuals and ensuring equitable access to essential resources..
In another initiative, to commemorate the conclusion of the International Year of Millets 2023, Project Nandghar collaborated with Dayal Self Help Groups to train over 40 women in four Nandghars in the production of Millet Cookies.
The session aimed to offer comprehensive insights into millets, ancient grains often overlooked, and their growing commercial prospects. Participants were equipped with recipes and techniques for crafting Millet cookies and snacks while preserving their nutritional integrity.
The women were also educated on the significance of gluten-free millet dishes, including cookies, in promoting the overall health and development of both children and adults.
