Our Project Bharosa campaign, focussed on breaking gender stereotypes and bringing a revolution in our communities, was officially closed with a grand celebration of International Women’s Day with our women community members.
Project Bharosa, our six month long social awareness campaign on ‘Gender Equality’ addresses some of the deep-rooted social stigmas, and focuses on campaigning against domestic violence, breaking gender stereotypes, stopping cybercrimes and increasing gender sensitivity.
Over 500 women, including ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, doctors, women’s officers, and NCC cadets, attended the event. The Chief Guest, Cairn’s Head of Operations, Swapnil Sharma, along with representatives from ADM, SP, and ICDS, felicitated women who have excelled in various sectors.
Effective work is being done in the field of gender stereotypes and women empowerment, but it is the need of the hour to continue it. Programs conducted under Project Bharosa showcased various genres of gender equality initiatives, including a magic show and short video films, which were well-received by the audience present at the Town Hall. Additionally, during the program, the best employees were honoured with addresses by the guests present on the stage.
Furthermore, we successfully organised the Mega event of Skill development at the Cairn Enterprise Centre in collaboration with Project Bharosa, titled “Kaushal Ka Bharosa Apke Dwar,” aimed at providing employable opportunities with a focus on gender equality.
The mobilisation efforts through the Rojgar Rath contributed to raising awareness, resulting in over 500 community members attending the Mega event, including students and women.
Achieving more than 50 registrations for enrollment in CEC’s various domain courses signifies accomplishment, highlighting the event’s impact and potential for empowering individuals through skill development by removing gender stereotypes. The successful conclusion of the program paves way for each and everyone of us to continue breaking stereotypes and planting the seeds of gender equality in our society.
