Urjam 2023
We are thrilled to announce that the Urjam event has concluded with unparalleled success. This sports carnival witnessed an unprecedented 850+ participants and spanned a thrilling 10 days. This record-breaking turnout marks the highest participation ever recorded in the history of the Urjam sports fest.
The success of this event wouldn’t have been possible without the dedicated efforts of our coordinators, volunteers and admin who went above and beyond, investing their time and hard work.
Their commitment played a pivotal role in transforming this event into a grand success. We are pleased to share the list of winners and runners-up in the various games held during the URJAM sports carnival:

- Bhogat Sports Fest
We have successfully completed the Bhogat Sports event with emerging sports stars and lots of fun. Thanks to all the participants and Bhogat Management team for encouraging sports enthusiasm.

- Vedanta Pink City Half Marathon
Building on the success of the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon 2023, we organised the much awaited Vedanta Pink City Half Marathon in Jaipur on December 17, 2023.
Our Mission of #RunForZeroHunger echoed the streets of Jaipur as more than 12,000 participants across various categories, including 21 km Half Marathon, 10 km Dream Run, 5 km Fun Run and Virtual Run, supported our cause.
The marathon was flagged off by the newly appointed Honourable Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Mr. Bhajan Lal Sharma, along with Ms. Priya Agarwal Hebbar, Chairperson, Hindustan Zinc Limited, and Non-Executive Director, Vedanta Ltd.
Witnessing enthusiastic and power packed participation by Cairnians and their families, the marathon also had Steve Moore – Deputy CEO, Gary Ingram – President, Exploration, Harmeet Sehra – Head, CSR amongst others who ran for zero hunger.
Our marquee CSR projects – Project Bharosa and Project Harit Dhara – were also showcased at the VPCHM Bib Expo. It provided a platform for our Self-Help Group (SHG) partners to market their produce, such as Millet Cookies, Khakhras and Organic Ghee. Delighted to share that our stalls were completely sold out at the end of the exhibition.
As a part of the pre-event engagements, various business units organised Mini Marathons on December 9 – 10, 2023. In Rajasthan, 120+ participants contributed 500+ meals as they ran across RJ North and RJ South. In Gujarat, 60+ employees and their family members participated in a VPCHM Promo Run and contributed more than 300+ meals.
